At Simple Yak of Lake Gaston, we know we all don't fit in the same box. Our boxes are Kayaks, lets find one that fits you!

Maybe a simple scenic paddle around Lake Gaston, taking in all the beauty the lake has to offer is your perfect cup of tea. Snapping photos, bird watching, or just the relaxing sounds of the paddle gliding through the water, don't worry we have you covered! For you, we offer one of our recreational Yaks, we carry both sit on top and sit in options.

Or maybe you have an itch that can only be scratched by a peaceful day on the lake fishing for your personal best! Nothing is more disappointing than wanting to go fishing, but knowing your options are limited. Not everyone owns a boat! And every angler knows sometimes it's impossible to hit the hot spot from the shore. Not to worry, we specialize in making sure almost all of our Yaks offer rod holders and other fishing accessories.

And don't worry if you aren't equipped to fish, maybe it's your first time and you want to try it before you invest in gear. We get it! We have you covered with gear you can rent too. And with delivery of your Yak, we can also bring you some live bait to help you catch dinner! We are even willing to meet you, or ANYONE, not just Yak renters at any public spot on the Lake to deliver you more bait if you run out and don't want to leave the water.

For our larger Yakers, we offer our tandem Yak, that can also be used as a single with a 500lb weight limit! It is a tandem Yak, so its also perfect for friends, couples or parent and child. (Fur babies too!) Our tandem Yak can also be used for fishing, and it has a trolling motor option available to rent.

Our Yaks come with a PFD unless you have your own Coast Guard approved PFD. We also include a 10 liter bright safety orange dry bag with a water proof cell phone holder. Our dry bags come with a few safety items and a small first aid kit, and enough room for whatever you'd like to keep dry.

We do not have a store front, we deliver to you, anywhere around Lake Gaston! Online bookings need to be booked 24 hours in advance, same day booking, please call! 18+ to rent, 4 hour half day or 12 hour whole day rentals available. Will have to sign a waiver to rent, and a waiver if you have your own PFD. Must follow all boating rules of Lake Gaston. We do not supply fishing license, once on a kayak, you can use either a North Carolina or Virginia fishing license.
