Over the past eight years, Heaton Construction Inc. (HCI) has performed as an Unlimited North Carolina Licensed Commercial General Contractor. We have an impeccable record of performing more than 150 commercial building contracts without a material discrepancy in performance, quality, safety, budgetary limits, timely completion, and customer satisfaction. As a successor firm to our Halifax County, NC, family business organized in 1983, and Paul W. Heaton, Jr. General Contractor, Heaton Construction Inc. is a three-generation family business with more than 25 years of continuous design and construction experience, including over 20 years as a North Carolina Licensed General Contractor. By achieving our current North Carolina Unlimited, Unclassified License in 2007, we have continued our ability to grow and successfully perform contracts. We are a pre-qualified bidder with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. We are also licensed to do business in Virginia and South Carolina. During the 2007-2008 periods, our contracting work included projects in the range of $5 to $12 million. In the past five years, we have completed work on more than 13 public projects, totaling over $22 million and have projects in progress with a total contract value of over $35 million. Our services include the following:  construction management, design/build construction, public and private schools, government facilities, industrial and institutional, churches, commercial and warehouses, retail, pre-engineered metal buildings, aircraft hangars and airports, historical renovations, subdivision development, tenant upfits and remodeling, residential, architectural, civil/structural engineering, site analysis, highways, parks and public utilities.
