Dave and Heidi Blodgett, owners of Lake Gaston Outfitters are offering Lake Gaston all kinds of new and fun outdoor gear and wear sure to make the summer months even more enjoyable at Lake Gaston Outfitters.

We relocated to the area after 17 years of working in the Washington, D.C. metropolis. Dave said they were looking for a better way of life so they bought a place at Lake Gaston in 1997. We wanted to provide the same experience for our children that we had when we were growing up – on the water – and that’s what led us to Lake Gaston.

We are outdoor enthusiasts, however, we have found it a little difficult to find quality outdoor gear and accessories locally and decided we will address that need. In addition to high quality paddle, hiking & cycling gear we focus on environmentally and socially responsible vendors as well as North Carolina & USA manufacturers.

Located between the Food Lion Shopping Center and Subway/Lake Gaston Coffee at Lake Gaston, we carry gear from Hobie, Wilderness Systems, Perception, Eddyline, Boardworks, Pau Hana, Blue Water Paddle Co, Yak Attack, prAna, Hydro Flask, Outdoor Research, NRS, Farm To Feet, Balega, The North Face, Nuun, Camelbak, Hari Mari, Qalo, Sun Bum, Aqua-Bound, Bending Branches, SRAM, Shimano, Maxxis, Muc Off, Lizard Skins, Ruffwear, Eno, Leki, Suspenz, Stohlquist, and many more.

Lake Gaston Outfitters is more than just a retail store. It’s about being outdoors and making it easy to get out there – we plan regular meetups around the lake region to bring together the community and to help everyone enjoy the great outdoors.
