Working Landscapes is a non-profit organization based in Warren County, NC. Our mission is to create more sustainable livelihoods for people in the Warren County region through stewardship of natural and cultural resources. In other words, we want to help build and support a local economy through fostering landscapes that work—environmentally, socially, and economically. rn Currently, our primary focus is on supporting the production, aggregation, processing, and distribution of local agricultural products, with an emphasis on produce. Working Landscapes is pleased to be managing the Growing Local/Buying Local healthy foods access project, for which Warren County Cooperative Extension received funding from the Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation.
