The mission of Warren YES is to create a child-focused, place-based learning environment that motivates students to be purposeful, creative, ethical and compassionate leaders, while building a healthy future for themselves, their community, and the planet. rn Warren Young Explorers School (Warren YES) is a free, public school opening in Warren County in Fall 2026. Rooted in the belief that learning should be joyful, hands-on, and connected to the world around us, we are reimagining what school can be for the students and families of northeastern North Carolina. Opening with grades K–6 and growing to K–12 one grade per year, we blend academic rigor with outdoor learning, wellness, creative expression, and place-based exploration.
