The 2011 Lake Gaston Chamber Annual Golf Tournament | |
| The Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce held its annual golf tournament on Wednesday, August 10 at the Lake Gaston Golf Club. One of the most exciting events of the summer, this year’s chamber golf tournament had a new twist. Three local chambers participated in a special flight, with the Chase City Chamber of Commerce taking home the “Lake Gaston Foundation Cup” to display for the upcoming year along with bragging rights for being the top golfing chamber. To make things even more exciting five hole in one prizes were offered including one for $5,000 and one for a brand new golf cart from Lake Gaston Golf Cars. Top This Pizza made hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill for lunch and Catering 2 U served up a fantastic prime rib dinner. Snacks and drinks were provided throughout the day. Winners of the tournament were: Third Flight: First place – Gasburg Golf Cars, Second place – Lake Gaston Resort, Third place – Commonwealth Exterminators. Second Flight: First place – Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce, Second place – Dickens Plumbing, Third place – Lakeside Painting. First Flight: First place and winner of the tournament – Top This Pizza, Second place – Chase City Chamber of Commerce, Third place – Service Plus Propane Gas. The LONGEST DRIVE went to Keith Carter for the men and Brenda Stembridge for the women. | |
