The Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center held its Sixth Annual Golf Tournament on Wednesday, August 12 at the Lake Gaston Golf Club in Gasburg, VA. Twenty four teams competed under Captain’s Choice Rules, which allowed golfers the opportunity to move balls one club length after a shot. In addition, each golfer received two mulligans to improve their play.
Everyone enjoyed themselves, and hoped to win the “BIG”
Prize on hole 9, where a hole-in-one was worth
$5,000.00. Unfortunately, no one was able to cash in
this year, despite the cheers and encouragement of the
watchers.

◦ Second Place – Halifax RMC team – score 65
Ties were broken by a scorecard playoff.
