The Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for their 18th Annual Battle of the Bar-B-Que fundraiser. The event will be held at the Lake Gaston Chamber, 2475 Eaton Ferry Road, Littleton, NC, (next to Food Lion).

We need 20 cookers to make this event a success. If you are interested in participating, please return your completed OFFICIAL ENTRY to Marcia Kerr, 163 Cherokee Trail, Henrico, NC 27842 ASAP.

2010 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Friday – May 28, 2010
12 Noon	Cooking teams will be permitted to set up equipment anytime after 12:00 noon on Friday, May 28, 2010. Upon arrival check in with the Chairperson or Committee Member for assignment of cooking space.
9PM	Chief Cooks Briefing will be held at 9:00 pm, Friday night, May 28, 2010
10PM	Pigs will be delivered by 10:00 pm, Friday night, May 28, 2010.
Saturday – May 29, 2010
8:30AM	SHOWMANSHIP JUDGING will take place at 8:30 am, May 29, 2010.
9:30AM	Pigs must be done by 9:30 am Saturday, May 29, 2010 for Culinary (On-Site) Judging. Once you have been judged, chop pig mixing with the gallon of sauce, provided by the Chamber and the cooler will be picked up.
10AM - 1PM	Dan Preston from First Media Radio will be doing a live remote with music.
12Noon	BBQ dinners served.
1PM	LGCC awards trophies and cash prizes to winners. This may be earlier if we can get tabulations completed earlier. This takes place in the front Chamber area by the garden.
by 6PM	Each team is responsible for the clean up of their area at the conclusion of the contest. All cookers and equipment shall be removed from the site not later then 6 pm, May 29,2010
