Executive Director's
Note of Interest
Here it is!—the
long awaited rendering of the future Lake Gaston
Chamber of Commerce & Visitor’s Center office
building.

The Future Home of Lake Gaston
Chamber of Commerce
The Lake Gaston
Chamber is really excited about the progress of the
new chamber building plan and with what we will be
able to offer to our members and the community when
construction is complete. When the building is
finished we will have office space, a Visitor
Center, a historic display, an Entrepreneurial
Development center, and a community meeting room. It
will be designed with the capability of functioning
as an emergency staging center and possibly an
emergency shelter in the event of a major disaster.
The
new building will be a dual
function facility, with the
lower level housing the
offices, the Visitor’s
Center, the historic display
and the Entrepreneurial and
Business Development Center.
Upstairs will be the
community meeting room,
large enough to seat 70-86
at tables and 130-150 in
chairs. There is also a
deck, which will wrap around
the side and rear of the
building. This will be a
wonderful place for events
such as receptions, meetings
and dinners for the chamber
and also to rent to other
organizations. There will be
outside entrances on both
floors to make them easily
accessible.
We are now in the process of
creating a Business Plan for the Chamber to use as
we proceed with funding and grant requests.
Watch for great things happening soon!
